Warehouse Refurbishment, Beckenham

This 20,000 sq ft distribution centre was in need of complete refurbishment in preparation for future letting following the unexpected departure of the occupier and a new tenant pending. Programme was a major factor.

A comprehensive strip out of the building including block work walls, concrete staircase, toilet facilities and all fixtures and fittings ready for the refurbishment works to the space which comprised of a 16,000 sq ft warehouse and 4000 sq ft office accommodation.

All electrics in the warehouse area were stripped out back to the incoming mains. New high bay lighting and small power distribution was reinstated. The steel portal frame, cladding and roof lights were cleaned, all block work walls decorated and the floor coated with epoxy paint. 3 roller shutter doors were serviced and repaired.

The office accommodation including reception, washrooms, kitchen and staircase was decorated and carpeted ready for occupation. The existing electrical and data installations were upgraded and certified. The comfort cooling was serviced and increased.

External works were undertaken. The cladding was repaired and cleaned. The roof and gutters were cleared of overgrown vegetation and water tested. The car park and loading areas required alterations and making good. New entrance gates were supplied and fitted.
